Roger sits on The Decanter World Wines Awards Judging Panel representing Australia, and is a regular contributor to the monthly Tasting panel in Decanter Magazine for New Zealand and Australia. He also sits on Germany Top 50 Wines and The Imbibe Sommelier Awards, The Sommelier of The Year Awards, and was made The Ambassador to ‘The Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Awards” in 2017.
He is a Contributing Editor to The-Buyer.net, the UK’s top On Trade Wine Journal, Consultant Editor to The Caterer Magazine and continues to contribute to numerous Trade and Wine Magazines.
Whilst the Supermarkets continue to swamp their shelves with mass produced New World Wines, we take pride in having amassed one of the finest Australian Wine Lists in the World, with back vintages which are the envy of many an Australian Wine Maker. Roger & Sue work closely with Wine Australia and set up Restaurant Australia to highlight food and wine matching at the annual Australian Trade Tasting.
Roger & Sue have visited South Africa 5 times in the last 3 years and have hosted numerous dinners at prestigious venues in Cape Town and Stellenbosch, including The Vineyard Hotel. Roger also works with WOSA, not only presenting seminars at The High Commission in Trafalgar Square but providing food and wine matching and featuring a blog on their website. We have sourced many of these wines directly and now list together with High Timber in London one of the finest outpost of South African wines.
Roger has travelled to New Zealand twice in the last 3 years as guest of New Zealand Winegrowers, both as a Journalist and as a keen buyer of New Zealand Wines. In 2017 he hosted a dinner in Hawkes Bay, whilst previously he has hosted lectures there.
